About
I do not have a poker face.
I am a hands on, results-oriented design leader with a passion for solving complex business problems and expertise in architecting user experiences across a wide variety of platforms and channels.
I have deep knowledge of user-centered design and research, iterative prototyping, interaction design & visual design as well as significant experience leading teams and mentoring colleagues. Currently, I'm a design strategist with Intuit, creating products and a design language for an ecosystem spanning channels (web, desktop & mobile) and platforms (iOS, Android, Mac.)
I am also owner and principal designer for Dorelvis Design, a studio focusing on user experience design and storytelling.
Previously I led the Design Systems Group at eBay, creating and maintaining a design system that ensured a holistic customer experience. Before that, I directed user experience design teams at Google and Yahoo!, was an experience lead at SBI.Razorfish and produced Oxygen.com’s “Our Stories” site.
I've also been an editor with Boxes and Arrows, a magazine for information architects, where I had the pleasure of working with a number of amazing user experience professionals. I also had the honor of serving two terms as advisory board member for the Information Architecture Institute.
A graduate of NYU’s Interactive Telecommunications Program, I also hold a BFA in graphic design from the Rhode Island School of Design.
